Opus II announces the risk of black ice even via GSM
The principal danger in the winter is not the snow on the road. It is the smooth on its surface which spreads relative quickly. Perhaps quicker than a human being can realise it. In consequence, nothing happened to avoid accidents and than - it is too late.
For several years Schwäbisch Gmünd is trying hard to install high-modern and sensitive black ice forecast facilities in different towns. Eight facilities have been installed so far.
Actually it is a meterological facility, inconspicouos beside a traffic light, from which the Opus II receives information - Humidity, temperature, the amount of precipitation and radiate.
But not only this, it can even give information about the temperature of the road's surface and can inform, if the road is dry or wet. If there is a drastical deterioration of the climate, the system sends an alarm. Opus II can even used with GSM.
It is known that on different places temperature can differ up to twelve degrees.
