Why DKD-calibration certificates ?

Calibrations carried out by DKD laboratories allow the user to trust in the reliability of measurement results. They increase the customers' confidence and competitiveness on the national and international markets. They also serve as a metrological basis for the control of measurement and test equipment within the framework of quality assurance measures.
The German calibration service (Deutscher Kalibrierdienst DKD) secures the following points:
1. Securing quality, accuracy and reliability in the industry
2. The DKD-calibration documents the traceability to national standards, which realize the units of measurement according to the International System of Units (SI)
3. regular control of the PTB
4. international validity
5. obligatory also by court
6. calibration with valid guidelines (from the PTB)

How to refresh an hair hygrometer ?
Reply:
To avoid the dry up, you have to refresh the hair hygrometer in regular intervals. For this the hair has to be saturated with destillated water at 20°C ambient temperature. After about one hour you get a measurement value of 98%rH. The most instruments are adjustable with an adjustment-screw.

The data stored in the OPUS 10 cannot be read out by the software SmartGraph2 (up to version 2.1.7)

This mainly occurs on laptops equipped with windows 2000, windows XP or windows 98.
solution: for reading the Datalogger, the Energy Saver on the Desktop should be changed
Carry out as follows (Windows 2000):
1. Select "properties" by rightclicking anywhere on the desktop
2. Select the "screen saver " tab
3. Click on the button "settings"
4. Select the operating mode "desktop"
5. Confirm this modification by pressing "OK"
6. Confirm again by pressing "OK"
If an error message occurs while carrying through this modification, please contact your administrator.

1. Remove blue sensor module.
2. After appearing "FAIL" on the display, plug the sensor module back again.
3. After appearing "SENS" on the display, connect the first temperature probe to the right and the second temperature probe to the left socket within the given time of 10 seconds.

SmartControl Pharma ? Start-up, file opening and ending the Pharma version of Smartcontrol takes up to one minute. On the same PC, these procedures are executed quickly in non-Pharma versions.

This error occurs on systems with more than one (virtual) processor, including Pentium 4 with hyperthreading, when Smartcontrol and the Interbase Server required for the Pharma version are running on different (virtual) processors.
Solution:
1) On Pentium 4 with hyperthreading:
Switch off hyperthreading in the computer?s Bios Setup
2) On multi-processor computers without Windows XP Service Pack 2: The Interbase Server required for the Pharma version and Smartcontrol must run on the same (virtual) CPU to prevent the error from occurring. This can be set up for each system start by means of a software tool. This tool is available on request.
3) On multi-processor computers with Windows XP Service Pack 2: No known tool at present, since the tool described under item 2 above does not function with Windows XP SP2. Use a different PC if possible.

concerned versions are Smartgraph OPUS, Smartgraph Agro and Smartgraph GMA in different program versions for OPUS 1, OPUS 2, OPUS 2-GMA and HP-100.
Symptoms: After SmartGraph 1 has been successfully installed on the PC, the following error message appears when starting the program:
Exception EGPFault in
module SG_xxxx.EXE at xxxx:xxxx.
General protection failure...
Depending on the program and version, the xxxx are different. SmartGraph 1 will close after the error message has been displayed.
Help: Delete Smartgraph 1 and install it again along with the demo data.
